Emery is a kind of industrial abrasive with a wide range of uses, commonly used in sandblasting, water cutting and floor industries. In reality, some people are used to collectively refer to the sand used in these industries as emery, but some of them are natural emery and some are artificial emery.
¡¡
¡¡¡¡1, the main ingredients contained

¡¡¡¡The main component of natural emery is iron-aluminum silicate, besides it also contains TiO2, MgO, FeO, CaO, MnO, etc. It is formed in nature through a series of geological processes. The main component of artificial emery is Al2O3, which is made by placing sand and a suitable amount of carbon in an electric furnace to strengthen heat.

¡¡¡¡2, hardness

¡¡¡¡Natural emery is a relatively large non-metallic substance, second only to diamond and corundum in nature, with a Mohs range of 7.0-8.0. Many of its uses are related to its hardness. The hardness of artificial emery is about 9.5 on the Mohs. Although it is harder than the former, its price is several times that of the former, and some fields can achieve good results by using the former. Therefore, from an economic point of view, the former is more cost-effective than the latter.

¡¡¡¡3, color

¡¡¡¡Natural emery generally has a complete range of colors. As gemstones, red and pink are common. For industrial purposes, al-Al garnet is generally used. The artificial ones are generally colorless powder particles.

¡¡¡¡4, place of origin

¡¡¡¡ The natural production areas are mainly concentrated in my country, the United States, Australia and India in the international arena. At present, it is mainly concentrated in Shandong Rizhao, Jiangsu Lianyungang Donghai and Hebei in China. This is mainly caused by geological reasons. It can be produced in places where artificial emery is generally rich in bauxite resources.

¡¡¡¡ 5. Use

¡¡¡¡Natural emery has seven major uses in industry, and artificial emery is generally used in industries that require higher precision due to its higher price.
